Traders

This non-clearing Membership category is specifically designed and ideally suited for fund management use. Proprietary Trading Members receive the following rights and benefits:

• Tailored institutional trading;
• Tailored bullion custodial services;
• Favourable transaction fees;
• Single account trading rights; and
• International investment community exposure.

Proprietary Trading Members must be sponsored by a Floor or Clearing Member.

Proprietary Trading Members are only permitted to trade on their individual bullion account and must be corporate organisations that maintain high volume transactional trading (volumes to be mutually agreed).

The Proprietary Trading Member tailored service permits flexibility with storage and trading requirements. This flexibility is negotiated with the Sponsoring Member and ABX on a case by case basis.

To the extent that it is practical, Floor and Clearing Members hold the compliance responsibility for Proprietary Trading Member behaviour pertaining to the Exchange.

Proprietary Trading Members may be required to compensate their Sponsoring Member for trade clearing and bullion custodial services. As such, an agreed portion of the metal value of trades may be
required by the Sponsoring Member.
