Traders
Institutional Traders, otherwise known as Proprietary Trading Members on the Exchange have direct access to the Exchange, enjoying favourable transaction fees, tailored institutional trading and bullion custodial services, single account trading rights and exposure to the international investment community.
- Tailored institutional trading;
- Tailored bullion custodial services;
- Favourable transaction fees;
- Single account trading rights; and
- International investment community exposure.
Proprietary Trading Members must be sponsored by a Floor or Clearing Member.
Proprietary Trading Members are only permitted to trade on their individual bullion account and must be corporate organisations that maintain high volume transactional trading (volumes to be mutually agreed).
The Proprietary Trading Member tailored service permits flexibility with storage and trading requirements. This flexibility is negotiated with the Sponsoring Member and ABX on a case by case basis.
To the extent that it is practical, Floor and Clearing Members hold the compliance responsibility for Proprietary Trading Member behaviour pertaining to the Exchange.
Proprietary Trading Members may be required to compensate their Sponsoring Member for trade clearing and bullion custodial services. As such, an agreed portion of the metal value of trades may be
required by the Sponsoring Member.
